As tradition is, Zimbabweans this year organized their favorite contest,
the Mr. Ugly contest and for the third consecutive time, William Masvinu emerged
winner. The 39 year old champ, and great looser of all times when it comes to looks,
emerged top and bagged the grand prize of $100, some groceries and a pledge
from one of the guests to pay school fees for one of his children. From the
outcome of the pageant held on 18th October in Harare and contested
by eight ‘ogres’, Zimbabwe remains the undisputed number one country with the
ugliest people in Africa, probably holding the top spot worldwide.
Kenyans
rank top 5 ugliest in Africa
It is believed that Kenya ranks in the top five (5) with the ugliest
looking people in the world. Though yet to be confirmed, a number of Kenyans
have rubbished claims that the ugliest people come from Zimbabwe and went ahead
to welcome Zimbabweans see for themselves the gift of ugliness in Kenya. An
outfit from the Kibera slums identified as “Sura Mbaya Foundation” (ugly face
foundation) has threatened to organize a peagent and invite Zimbabweans for a
tough competition, something they will never forget. The Guinness Book of
Records has also been invited to witness that upcoming event.
