Dead man resurrects, asks for a pen, draws devil’s face

News has reached our desk that a middle-aged man in a remote area of the Philippines has resurrected from the dead. According to our correspondent in Manila, the man only identified as Mikel had died a few days ago following a night of excessive drinking and drug sniffing. It all happened while the family received condolences from friends and neighbours when suddenly, the man in an open casket started to move. A close relative sitting nearby was first to notice when she saw the dead man moving his hand and trying to scratch his behind; she thought she was just having a hangover from the previous night of mourning, but suddenly, the corpse was up, steady, and coughing as if someone was strangling it; it moved to a nearby table, grabbed a pen and started drawing in the condolence book, a witness revealed. By that time, most of the mourners were in shock and had scampered away, God knows where, leaving the place deserted.

On coming back after things looked settled, everyone was in shock with what they saw. A drawing of what appeared to be the face of the devil was printed all over the book but the dead artist could also not be traced. A priest from a nearby church mentioned that the man is on the run from the devil who was punishing him for the crimes he committed. Our correspondent is following up with the details keenly to shed more light on what transpired next but until the time of publishing this story, no news on Mikel the fugitive had come out as he is said to have disappeared into thin air. Close family members to Mikel, the former drug baron, could not be reached for comment.

Police have since declared the man extremely dangerous and that anyone with information leading to his whereabouts should report to the nearest police station with immediate effect.
